Last week I saw two lovebird dragonflies this week a feisty 'ol snapping turtle just inching his way across the road...I wish I got the other piece of grass out of the way but I was afraid I was going to get my finger bit...
I like the shot the way it is. Turtles eat what and when they want. By the way, a snapping turtle will not bit your finger, it will sever your finger and then eat it too. Nice focus on the head.

You made a wise choice, ten fingers is a really good number.
Nice shot, sharp.
I don't know if snappers really are mean and nasty, but they sure do look like it.
Good shot, Annie! I love turtles!

Very nice image !!!
I use a stick/twig to move unwanted "trash" from the frame, also if you tap the turtles nose with the stick they will extend their neck and snap at the twig makes for a ver powerful image, but could be considered harassing the wildlife.
