D750 Format Memory Card Problem

After re-inserting my card into Slot 1, the bar is "grayed" and will not accept the format command. The message comes up "This option is not available at current settings or in the camera's current state." I've checked all my settings and they are normal, the card is inserted properly, I've tried swapping the cards between slots and the problem chases the card, not the slot. Does that mean the card is shot? I just recently purchased it. Help!

Maybe your card is locked. Check switch on the card.

Probably shot, at least in my experience. My Canon will just stop in this situation, look like it's trying to do a task but can't. Replace the card and if it's a lockable card, make sure the lock is off. Good luck.
