MT Shooter started a thread on this new lens. His preliminary comments cover everything but whether the image quality is improved over the original model. What a worthless thread.

No wonder you made my list of ignores. Yes, this is a worthless thread.
He did post a couple of photos for your to evaluate and come to your own conclusion. Having just received the lens I doubt that he's had time to really do in depth testing. The other thing that you could do, but it might take a little exertion Jim Boy, is to go to DXO.

No one has got a full test yet. If I remember right they originally said release date was Sep 30 so Carter and a few other dealers got theirs a day or two early.
All that is available is the specs and Tamron's Ad Dpt blurbs.

So his post does have a value, it tells you he has at least one for Canon in stock and for sale.
