Maybe to close for that lens? Or your tripod is getting old and wobbly like me. :)

everything looks a little blurry to me... try using a remote, or use your timer.. maybe you moved the tripod just a tad when you took the picture.. your colors and contrast look good..

There is motion blur along with out of focus issues in the frame.

The camera was on auto focus...I tried it on f-32 with no problem............

I would say it's out of focus because you are a bit too close. Step back a little

I agree with those who said you might be too close but there is another possibility. Does the lens have image stabilization, and was it on when it was on the tripod?

No image stabilization in the lens as I have a Pentax Kx and if I'm too close the camera will not let me take the shot...the only thing I can figure out is at that high of a f-stop and on AV mode I'm getting a slight camera shake even using a tripod which is an inexpensive Dolica AX620B100 62-Inch Proline...I have tried f-32 AV mode same tripod with no adverse affect...go figure.....

Why such a high f/stop and slow shutter speed , for such a shallow DOF shot?

Why not try manual, and a lower f-stop to get a bokeh? The image seems like it's a little dark. The lack of sufficient light might be preventing you from getting sharp focus. Probably because your aperture is high @ f-22.
Just some thoughts.

At high f-stops, there is a phenomenon called circles of confusion.

Here's an explanation:
