Very Nice! If you post-process then raw gives you more options.

The first image is exposed just about perfectly. Straight out of the camera is excellent.

The second and third images are clipping the highlights on all of the pedals. The lost detail can probably be recovered if you have the RAW file. If not it is a real shame...

A very good demonstration of generally why you should always shoot in RAW unless there is a specific reason not to.

I love the highlights on the pedals. Thats the beauty of it. Without that just a flat picture.

You could have highlights that are not clipped but still are highlights. The point of the game is to use the whole dynamic range but not exceed it.

The D7200 is a very capable camera, nice photos.
When conditions are perfect any camera can get great photos but as conditions get less than perfect we need better tools. Shooting raw is just one of those tools to deal with adversity. No adversity - no need for advanced tools................
Many of us shoot raw just in case an opportunity arises to get a shot we want.
