Up and down the beach they run - Seagulls with their plaintive cry; soaring in the sky, reaching for the sun.
Some of you may detest gulls for various and sundry reasons - just for a moment would you cast aside your dislikes and enjoy my bit of prose and the images of gulls. Photographing them was a challenge but gratifying fun.
I'd appreciate comments and welcome criticisms.

Annie, I think this is an excellent series. You got the gulls in a lot of different activities. Soaring gulls are the epitome of freedom.

Beautiful! I, for one, adore seagulls. Love causing feeding frenzies! They love sugar pops cereal and oyster crackers.

I thought of saying that in my write-up for I do think they are a symbol of freedom. Really appreciate your nice comment, Carol.

I think my daughter and I were tossing potato chips which did cause a frenzy and allowed us to get some good shots. I'll keep in mind the cereal and oyster crackers. I enjoyed your comments, dragonswing.

I know to get that first one you had a sardine taped to your hat. :)

You covered your subject very well. I think Sea Gulls are great ... near the sea. Don't care much for them in parking lots.

Good job!

First image reminds me of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. Good shot.

Thank you, Bill, for your pleasing comment. My daughter and I were tossing potato chips, taking turns shooting the gulls. Don't think I could handle the smell of sardines.

I was very happy to get that one. My daughter and I had a ton of fun shooting the gulls on the beach at Grand Haven. Appreciate your very nice comments, Randy.
