Need assistance with LR CC[2015]

I did something to screw up my LR CC. When I try to open it, I get the following message: Lightroom catalog named "new LR catalog" cannot be opened because another application already has it opened. I've searched high and low and I cannot find it opened in "another application". I've uninstalled and re-installed LR CC to no avail. I've restarted my computer several times and that doesn't resolve the problem. Any ideas out there among the "hogs"? Your assistance, as always, is much appreciated.

Look in the folder where your catalog file (<your catalog>.lrcat) is located. Is there a file in that folder named <your catalog>.lock? If so, delete it when you don't have LR running.

I had the same problem and couldn't fix it. I finally rolled my computer back to a restore point. That fixed the problem. I think it happened with the last update.
