Looking for a flash for my 80D and I saw that B&H is selling a Yongnuo Speedlite(YN600ext-rt) for canon. Maybe I am behind the times, but I never heard of Yongnuo. Does anyone know or have information about this flash. Price seems right as I am on a fixed income.

Just curious, who is not on a fixed income?
I'm a Nikon shooter but I have two of the Yongnuo YN-568ex TTL flashes which is the equivalent to your YN600ext for the Nikon. They are great speed lights, no problems so far. They do everything I have needed them to do indoors and out. You can also combine them with the 622 remotes for even more flexibility if you need it.

Lucky you. Hope you are making $$$$$$$
I'm salaried, I consider that a broken income, don't get paid for OT and oncall.
I have the YN-568EX for Canon, which is no longer made. My only problem with that unit is you can't attach an external power supply.
I have the Canon 600EX-RT; the YN600EX-RT is suppose to be fully compatible with the Canon architecture and costs less than a third the cost of the Canon. Those crafty Chinese...

Know what you mean being salaried. Been there and done that. Anyway, thanks for you information on Yongnuo. Did read reviews and it seems that those who bought one are very happy with it. Yep, have to agree: Those crafty Chinese!

Now we have the fixed income distraction out of the way....
Yongnuo are affordable yet decent quality products. I only have some of their triggers, but many here on UHH user the flash units. Not as good as Canon but good value by most accounts...

I am not, yet. I still get some overtime.
I have a 70D and I am using the Canon 430 EX-2 speedlite, it suits me fine and is not a bad price.

I have that flash. Works fine. Excellent alternative to Canon flashes at 1/3 the price.

There's nothing wrong with Yongnuo speedlights. I own one for a Nikon, paid about $100 for it. Your Yongnuo model is going for $120 from B&H. Less expensive than a Canon speedlight. Get it.
