There are 2 lenses available for now. If you MUST have this camera, you'll make it work. Right?

I have no doubt that there will be folks out there who can justify this purchase. I can't, this one is strictly fantasyland for me.

It's kind of like those folks that can afford a Class A diesel pusher that costs $250,000 +, there are people who can afford such things but even if I had it, I wouldn't drive it down the road. Too many things can happen to it. I know of a couple that spent about a month in Van Horn, Texas years ago because someone side-swiped their very expensive rolling house AND their Jeep. I've been there, it takes about 10 minutes to see everything there is to see in Van Horn.

I suppose the point of it is that very few people really need such a toy. More power to you if you can afford a Hasselblad.

Already another thread on this, Cat. My biggest reaction, 50 MP and DUAL SD CARD SLOTS when they already have CF modules in other models?

Dunno about that. I found this review:

"The camera is not fast, however. It takes a long time to boot up, a long time to write images to its dual SD cards, and navigating the interface isn’t exactly smooth. The autofocus system is slow and ponderous, and you can hear the lenses cranking away as they rack back and forth trying to lock focus. This is definitely not a camera for sports photography or any fast action."

Yeah Cat, it will be a big game changer alright, it can join the 1000 other Hassies out there in the world!!
And when did MF get dummied down anyway?
MF used to be 57mm x 57mm, not the paltry little sensors passing for MF today.
And everybody has 50 mp today...., well, at least Canon does!!
And at 1 fps, what the heck can you even shoot with THAT??
And yeah, for my Canon I can get 100 different AF lenses, now that's a GAME CHANGER!!!

This new camera cost about $2500 more than a Nikon D5. Is it worth the price for what it does? It has 50 megapixels. The Canon 5dsr has 50 megapixels, and the Sony a7r2 has 42 megapixels. All less expensive. Just missing the great name of Hasselblad.

You would think it would look a lot less like a tank for 9K. It is one ugly camera, this should be the mascot camera for ugly hedgehog.

on the hasselblad h1 you now can use the latest 82mp digital back. me, i use my 201f and rollei 6008i and lenses to obtain full 6x6 negatives and transparencies. i also believe that the hasselblad v body lenses can be used on this mirrorless device via an adapter which allows for full interconnection. this is probably limited to the fe lenses with the gold bus connections on the lens mount.

i see, really, no particular reason for hasselblad to introduce such a digital body, but then, that's just me. i'm happy with my film bodies and my leica monochrom. they are good enough for me.

Cat, I'd rather go for the H6D-100.
