The Trifid Nebula with the new Celestron 8300 camera up on the Mountain.
It was a beautiful clear windless night with only 33% humidity.
This is a stack of 10 each Lights, Darks and Bias shots.
My PHD2 guiding was tracking very well in the windless atmosphere.
I had no idea this would turn out so well after stacking and stretching it.
Celestron 9.25" SCT, Kodak 8300 sensor 8.3MP, 120 sec Lights and Darks.

Did you use AsrtoFx to stack and stretch? Did you do any cropping?

Yes to AstroFX for stacking the shots but I did the hard work in Lightroom and no Cropping.
I still have not figured out the stretching, smoothing, sharpening and saturation in AstroFX yet.
I'll have to play with those some more to become proficient.
If you have some hints I would be greatful.
I kind of know what I doing in Lightroom so I use it the most.
I have done some Stacking in Photoshop and had OK results too.

I only used it to stack and stretch, then to photoshop. Trifed use be a large object, you have a pretty big sensor. Again, great job.

Very nice, Craig!
The Universe never ceases to amaze me.
Looks to be a great combination of Telescope and Camera.

Glad you got a good night on the mountain.
Looks like you got above the June Gloom.

How-Dy! Good to be back in the land of the living Internet!
I could not believe the Nazi Cable company in the Nashville area.
They have internet access wrapped up in razor wire there. Absolutely the land of the living dead!

The sky has been terrible here since we landed back home. I tried, but the clouds just squoose me out.

Unfortunately, everywhere we landed there was trees and cloudy skies.
Dad, Speedy, and Dad's "Summer Porch" where the infamous "Lightening Chicken" was spawned.
Dad, at 83, loves to sit out there, occasionally have a fire in his fire ring if it's chilly, and try to hear the birds.

Speedy loved the green grass and sunshine. But he has been running out to the RV anytime the front door opens. The little road warrior is still ready to go.

Some of the typical views available. Tunnel vision, and gray daze.
And why it seemed fruitless to drag out the gear.

The stats are:
21 calendar days on the road, total.
Actual driving time: 146.33 hours at the wheel.
Actual miles traveled: 5851
Average speed: 39.98 MPH
Most of that time was in daylight, but some ran into the deep hours of the night and early morning.
The Bottom Line: We all loved it! Even Speedy who was sliding back and forth as we rolled along I-90 in Montana and Idaho sliding down the West Side of the Continental Divide. (That is, when he wasn't supervising my driving in my lap.)
We saw so many places as we rolled along at 55-60 MPH. And I think Betty said he were in 16 States. (Not counting the State of Daze)

Zero breakdowns or delays. Not counting replacing a couple of burned out clearance lights an Arkansauce Trooper suggested we fix when we landed at Mom and Dad's. If anybody is going to stop you for a visit, it'll be one of those Arkansan Troopers. But he was really friendly and chatty when he heard we were going to Goodletsville, TN.
"Are Y'all from Tennessee?" "No Sir, just going to visit the folks."
"Well, Y'all have a safe trip. And I'll trust you to take care of that clearance light at Mom and Dad's."
I just get a kick out of how Southerners talk. And how polite and friendly they can be.
