I posted it to Macro section, as it was taken with Tamron's 90mm macro. but it didn't go. The shoot was at Japanese Gardens and we could use any of their lenses

The photo belongs in close-up or photo gallery because it isn't a macro shot. Nice shot by the way. Glad you figured out how to post the image.

Thank you for that and the comment . So it's not a macro shot even tho it was shot with a 90mm macro lens? Clue me in on that one as to what lens one would use to shoot that bug. thanks --- Yes, Photo gallery is where I ended up putting it

Macro is when the subject is captured so that if you placed your sensor on the final image, it would include the same image area as the size of the sensor.

For example: If I shoot a castle with a macro lens, it isn't a macro photo. If I were able to get close enough to capture a shot of the keyhole in the door to the castle, and that image area was the same size as the sensor, or closer, then you would be capturing a macro shot. Macro shots doesn't mean it was taken with a macro lens, it is the magnification 1:1 or more.

Hope this helps a bit. I tried to make it for an example that might make it easier to explain.
