Recently visited the Black Hills area of South Dakota. We took the Needles Highway before entering Custer State Park. Quite the area for amazing rock formations, switch back narrow roads, three rock tunnels to pass through. Recommend going before all of the tourists show up however.

Very nice captures, that is a beautiful area. Did you happen to get on Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway? Between Spearfish and Lead (Near to Deadwood), another beauty for the eyes and camera.

We stayed in Deadwood one evening but never got up to Lead. Snowed the day we were there.

Very enjoyable series, even if I shivered with claustrophobia over that tunnel! You captured the rugged beauty very nicely.

we went through that tunnel years ago with my dad in a motor home! everyone standing on the road watching cheered when we made it through all in one piece

Very pretty series. When I visited there I couldn't believe that a bus could actually squeeze
through those small tunnels.
