So Cal was in the Marine Layer as far as I could see.
Yes I did go to the Mt. and got 27 shots, here are 3 you might enjoy.
I started shooting as soon as the Sun cleared the clouds at 6:30 until
11:00.
I used the 9.25" SCT scope w/Nikon D800E Camera.
#1 6:30 AM, ISO 100, 1/200 sec. f/10
#2 11:00 AM, ISO 50, 1/125 sec. f/10.
#3 is a crop of #2

I knew you would come through! I was at work, and not a chance I could see it. And also, there were thick clouds all morning long here in the Bay Area. It's clear, now that I'm home from work, but that too late for Mercury.

Thank you very much Jim. I had to get up at 3:30 to get to the mountain in time.

Nice captures Craig... no chance here... clouds all day!!! I also couldn't find my old 8" film sun filter! I can't remember if it got damaged and thrown away or I lost it somehow during the moves during the last 34 +/- years since I got it when I got my old Dynamax 8 SCT...

Thank you Bruce glad I could come up with something worth looking at.
It's too bad about your filter and the lack of good seeing.
