With the new Update Lightroom Freezes Up all the time.
I have tried an Uninstall and Reinstalled with same results.
Anyone else have the same problem and how to resolve it???
Also did the Restart after reinstall.

Did you give it a restart after installing?

Could be your graphics processor (GPU)' Here is a link to how to disable it: http://lightroom-blog.com/2015/05/19/turning-off-lightrooms-gpu-preferences-even-when-crashing-on-startup/

Another suggestion -

Go to Edit>Preferences>Performance

Check to see if the "Use Graphics Processor" box is checked. If it is, try unchecking it. It's possible there's something in the update that the GPU doesn't like.

Other things to consider are -

Are you running RAM-hungry or processor-hungry software at the same time as LR.

Are you running LR immediately after start-up when the security software may still be busy doing its initial checks.

Have you still got the old version of LR installed and are you using the same desktop icon to start up LR?

That just about exhausts my ideas :-) . I believe Adobe can give expert advice if you contact them directly.

EDIT - Rick posted while I was compiling this response.

I've had the same problem. The only way to get out of it is to do a shutdown and then you lose all the work that you've been doing. As a result I haven't been using light room lately

From my experience it's always a good idea to reboot your computer after you do an upgrade on software. This will clean out conflicting registry data and boot up only the registry data needed for the updated program.

Thank you to all so far I tried cleaning the registry and a restart with no luck.
After 2 actions it freezes up still.
What about an Uninstall and clear preferences???

I think your best bet is to call Adobe at this point. They may be aware of the problem and be able to walk you through a fix quickly. I've done the upgrade and I'm not having a problem. The only other thing I can think of is to turn off your graphics processor under preferences/performance and see if that works. Be sure to turn off LR and turn it back on after you've done that.

Correct it's edit/preferences/performance. I had a similar problem about 4 months ago and I turned it off, rebooted then turned it back on again and it worked fine. Be sure your graphics processor is compatible with LR.

Thank you Wayne and Mborn I turned off the Graphics processor and will do a restart.
I did a restart without the Graphics Processor and did some processing and it worked so far.
