Sorry, it's getting hard to come up with decent titles. This one is (almost) Shakespeare...

This is the second batch taken on Wednesday, I think it was... I have been back out every day since we started getting some sunshine, trying different things. These are not very close-up, as I was having difficulty in getting the gear to focus up close when controlling through the camranger. Sometimes I was able to manually override, but it was difficult to see the screen in bright sunlight.

Fairly basic PP in LR and Nik tools.

Very pretty shots, Phil, and I love your clever title. :-D I have the same problem of not being able to see the screen in bright sunlight, and I wish I had a solution.

Yeah, it can be a mess. I use a Kindle, running the camranger software, which controls the camera, *and* the motorized tripod head attachment. It saves me from having to try and get down low... Waiting for decent weather, and wanting decent sunshine to allow plenty of exposure choices is one thing, but it also means I am trying to read the tablet screen in not-great conditions - especially for trying to get critical focus!

I really love the next door garden, being at waist height... These would be impossible at ground level.

The ones I was shooting today were hand-held, trying for some real macro shots. I still have to be bent over double to see through the camera, so it means I need a break every few minutes or so. I was trying 'body focus', where I just kinda kept moving back and forth, and tried to press the button at the right moment. I had some successes, but also a lot of 'very-close-but-no-cigar' shots too...

I also caught my first insects - but you won't believe the size of these things! At full macro, plus cropping the image, and they are *still* little red blotches... I think it would take a microscope to get any decent details on these puppies. There were also a few bees around, but by the time I saw them, I had changed to my 50mm lens to get closer to the flowers, and the bees were out of reach.

It may be some time before I get them processed, since work is getting very busy. This week coming, I have trips almost every afternoon, then the following week, I am driving the bus every morning and *then* taking a trip every afternoon... I will get to them eventually - besides, I don't want to bore everyone with them either! They *do* tend to look very similar after a while...

Phil, you did good. Like them all and I agree, it is nice that the rain finally stopped.
