More flowers, and ground cover

Here is another of my flower shots from yesterday, plus some handheld macro shots of the ground cover plants in my neighbour's garden. Standing in my path, their garden is waist-height, so I can lean on the wall for stability and handhold to take these. Most of them were killed by focus issues - we had a strong wind blowing through and they were bobbing around quite a bit!

Phil, looks like to me the wall made a great tripod. Love the sharpness and thank you for posting such great photos. I really like the caption on the last one, "Life......".

Finally! Although, looking at the forecast for this weekend, are we *sure*? They are talking snow showers, and overnights temps in the 20s...
I've never really photographed flowers before, but its been so frustrating watching everyone else's posts, while I literally had brown grass outside my window! I was determined to do *some* when they finally appeared!

Been taking some more in the neighbours' garden this afternoon during a brief burst of sunshine. I'm working on them now, but the keeper rate is not high... Trying to 'body focus' with a 100mm lens is not easy, especially when the body in question is playing up!
It's raining right now, but if it clears up I may go dig out the tripod, although that means also wiring up the camranger, as I cannot get down low enough to focus properly...
