I just received an email from Google saying that I was getting a refund for the Nik tools, which I purchased last month. No explanation, no nothing.

Looking on Facebook, and apparently they have decided to start giving the full suite of tools away for free. They are refunding the purchase price to anyone who bought it in the last year, or somesuch.

Just want to make sure everyone has the chance to go grab them, in case this is a mistake!

Well, I'm sorry if my attempt to save people some money has wasted a few seconds of your time... I had seen nothing about it, and haven't been back to UHH since I left for work this morning.

I figured that most people would probably be aware of it by now, but I am probably not the only person who doesn't spend all day connected to my PC...

If you already knew about it, then why not just ignore and carry on... You wasted more of your time with the complaint than you did reading my post!

Are you getting enough fiber in your diet? Doesn't sound like it!

Good point, well done . I am always amazed why people will complain about someone's post when they have choice to simply ignore it and move on. Like when they say " just google it".

Not everybody reads every thread or is obsessed with finding a single solution (like masks) to every problem.

If you keep an open mind you might eventually learn something.

If you ever have something positive to contribute it will be welcomed.

Meantime, you could ignore the repetition and not look like a jerk.

Ignore him, he loves to play the role of the curmudgeon and does it well. At times he is correct but needs to bundle it with arrogance. You have to put up with the smell of sh*t to pick the mushroom.

Yes, they work as extensions to PS, LR and some other softwares. They are excellent editing tools to create a vast number of custom effects. Using them within PS, you can use the PS brushes to apply the effects very precisely. The suite once cost hundreds of dollars which people gladly paid. Grab it up! But be prepared to be ensnared in the fun of using it.

They are not stand alone programs. They are seven different plug-ins for Adobe Photoshop, Elements, Lightroom and Apple Aperture that address seven different subjects.

They may do things better or easier than the main editor - that's up to you to decide.

Since they are free they might be worth a try. Dismissing them out of hand would be silly, unless ignorance is bliss.

Ignore him. While he seems to know what he is talking about with facts, he always has his panties' in a bunch. Just a natural grump.
