Got my cable earlier today(USB 2.0 - 8 pin - Mini B) and tried Digi-cam out. I have not tried the other programs available so this is not a comparison review. There are complete, intuitive controls for focus stacking, bracketing, Live View, downloading, auto-focus, metering, ISO (auto and man.), shutter speed and much more. I consider myself to be moderately computer literate & was able to open and start using the program at once. My set-up consisted of a Tripod mounted Nikon D7100 with a 50mm AF FX f1.8 lens and a TTL compliant speed light. I hooked this set-up into a 2015 17" Toshiba laptop running 64 bit Windows 10. Doing quick reviews and adjustments in 'M', 'A' & 'S' were easy. The fact that this is open source, free software is nothing short of amazing imho. (I'll be sending them a donation via Paypal shortly) There is one caveat. Their are 2 versions available on the developers web site. 2.0 & 2.0.017. The recommended stable release is the 2.0 version which I downloaded. When I ran the install it promoted me to download the .17 version. Do NOT install this version. It basically locked up my computer. Stick with the straight 2.0. It works like a champ.

Always good to hear from you.... The program really does seem to be legit... I probably should mention that it's Windows only at the moment.
