They are growing...very slowly.

Hello to those that have been inquiring about the tadpoles. Here is the follow-up on the Chorus frog population in my front yard pond. Some of the young have reached the 4mm to 7 mm size and the eyes are pretty well developed. They proceed to scrub the surface of the elodea plants in search of the greens they require to survive.
Can't wait until the legs begin to emerge, but I am thinking that will not be for another month or so. Anyway, enjoy the downloads.
Absolutely amazing set, well done!

Thank you Allen. I know you were wondering if I was still working with them. I have found my pond is still too loud to sit next to in the evenings because the males are still calling quite vigorously. There are eggs still being laid as well. This means there will be adult frogs emergents even into the mid Summer.
very cool! love the 1st shot

Superb shots, David.
Excellent! Especially image #2. I take-back every nasty comment I ever made about you.
Interesting and clever shots. I look forward to seeing more. I bet that pond continues to provide a variety of interest all through the warmer months.
Wonderful set! Not only good photos now but you are raising a summers worth of subject to future shoots.
Awesome set David!! I buy tadpoles every year to add to my pond... you captured yours perfectly!!

Thanks. My favorite as well. The clear membrane has still to develop pigment and creates a wonderful glow when the light passes through it.
