Thanks Ernie, My softbox is an apollo micro mini by Westcott and while I have been happy with it, It did not come with any internal diffusion which most, if not all, here would agree would be favorable. Many of the photographers have submitted details of their set ups that can be viewed on this True Macro Forum. If you're into macro, you've found a gold mine.

ALL of us on this macro forum started with available light, then pop-up flash, then hot-shoe speedlight, then off-set speedlight with softbox diffusion.
Save yourself a lot of headache and TIME, by emulating a speedlight illumination set-up to which you can relate. Start on page 4, and view through page 6, to see current versions of many macro-photographers:
