Why do so many people post links in the general chit-chat forum?

I don't often bother following links which are posted in forums, so I very rarely even go into the links and resources group.
Why is it, though, that so many people post in General Chit-Chat (non-photography talk), and either just post a link or a "look at this..." with a link? There is a group specially for these!
Out of 10 messages in the group this morning, 7 of them are just links... 7 out of 10! Why not try posting them in the proper group, people???

There are times I'm posting something that's not related to photography so it goes in General Chit-Chat (non-photography talk), but that's me. S-

I thought that anything that wasn't photograph related was supposed to be posted in the General Chit-Chat area. When I first joined I thought it was a great idea because sometimes you run across jokes or newsy items that you want to share, hoping that someone else will be just as amused or intrigued by your post as you were when you first read or saw it. But, that's just me.

I've had a few times, I would post about a link (non photography) in a different forum. The non photography chit chat is where the Admin would move them to.
I guess, that's where they belong.

It's a matter of instabilizers the magnifluxers. When the valimeters are is synchronixert all the vanmeters align and that stars will exuminate and thereby stay lit.
