I LOVE this picture of my daughter but it looks really noisey and I am not sure how to fix it or keep it from happening, any suggestions?

If you repost it, and check the "Store Original box, we might be able to help you better.

At the very least it would be nice at what ISO you used - not certain, but very likely the problem.

Hi, I use Noiseware Community Edition which is free from imagenomic.com.
I have used it for many years and have always found it works well.

Without seeing the original, it's really hard to be definite. But to me your problem doesn't look like noise, it's lack of contrast. First just try adjusting your lighting levels and increasing contrast.

Ron - didn't know that it existed - have several other programs, but it does do a nice job, even without PS. Thanks for the tip!

Keep the ISO as low as possible. Use as fast a lens as you have. Obtain some sort of boost for the lighting, possibly by using a reflector.

If all that fails, Photoshop CS5 has a great noise reduction filter in its Camera Raw section. After using it you will have toi sharpen to regain some lost detail, but the picture should ended up looking sharper and less noisy than before.

Just went on line to get Noiseware. It's not free. Am I mistaken?

I was having the same issues with my Canon 550D, but the way I fixed it was went online and purchased a five dollar on board flash softener. With that on my flash, along with my shutter speed set at 1/200, cleared up all of the noise and gave everything a much more natural feel.
