Great plants to photograph because they are beautifully structured and brilliantly coloured.
Bird of Paradise
HOW DID YOU GET THE black background?
I photographed the plant against a black background (my large reflector bag) and in Camera Raw I upped the black and adjusted the exposure and fill light. In the original the background was black with a greyish tinge which looked awful.
Thanks, happy you think so. It's nice to get feedback, as I am fairly new to photography

I see the wolf left a big hole - this is not the place for this image it belongs in the general image gallery.

That is one beautifully coloured plant. I will have to look and see if we can get them here, in the mid-western U.S. By the way, since you are new here, photos like this should be posted in the regular photo gallery section. The photo analysis section is for specific problems that one may be having. Besides, a photo like this needs to be in the photo gallery so more people will view it because it is so beautiful. If have more, post them!

Ooops. Can someone tell me how to remove it from this section and put it where it belongs?
WA has more floral varieties just from Albany to Geraldton than any other region. How about posting some banksia photos to stun the yanks.

Funny you should say that because that is what I intended doing today. I see some gorgeous specimens on my daily walk and they are at different stages of blooming.

I think the admin will move it if he thinks it's a big deal.
