B2 refueling

Received this from my friend Ron.
He has something great to say.

Beautiful video. When I was quite young, I got to lay in the starboard position of Boom Operator while on a Boeing Production Flight Test flight out of Renton, and flying over the Olympic Mountains and Cascades for a couple hours before landing at Boeing Field in Seattle. That view is the most spectacular that I’ve ever seen and I will never forget it. -Ron

I think this B2 video is fantastic. And to think we developed the B2 in secret and didn't spend 15 years 'trying to get it right' like the F-35.

Yep Tucson, I agree with you, just an opinion.

Shouldn't have said anything to detract from such a starkly beautiful video. Just seeing that BIG MOTHER coming into refuel is awe inspiring. Then to see the engineering that went into developing that refueling receptacle, words can't hardly describe what great engineering went into that bird.

Yeah great and clear, HD video .....my guess would be it is just to show what it's capable of because if something goes wrong during aerial refueling it can get expensive in lives and $$$!
Now, a flying wing bomber has always been in the Air Force dream (maybe as far back before the Air Force even broke loose from the Army!)....way before the advent of jet propulsion ......they just couldn't get it to work quite right until computers actually showed they could do the job of keeping that thing in the air !

Beautiful job. I was fortunate enough to have that job (boom operator) for the better part of 9 years during the SAC era.
