Not the redneck kind though..... I wasn't getting too close to the "Cicada Killer" as it was quite large As it was, I was about a foot away at one point. The Yellow Jacket barely moved this morning. Seemed to be chewing part of an Oak leaf. I even stabilized the leaf it was on (windy today) & it didn't budge. The smaller unidentified wasp barely sat still & would fly away if I got too close. Awaiting an ID from bug guide on it...

Got the ID on the small wasp today....Tribe Bembicini - Sand Wasps-Sub tribe Gorytina... Seems they prey on flies...
