Cardinal beetle (pyrochroa serraticornis beetle) & spider

This Cardinal beetle seemed to be exuding a liquid or perhaps it was just rain drops, not sure. The tiny spider was living under the umbelliferous cow parsley.

Umbelliferous plant: any of numerous aromatic herbs of the family Umbelliferae; a plant lacking a permanent woody stem; plants having flowers in umbels, such as parsley, carrot, anise, caraway, celery, & dill.

Of course! Use it all the time. The word, not the plant.

Did you say you are using an umbrella diffuser Brenda? These are very nice captures - crisp and clean. I find myself favoring the spider...
