In Yiddish it is called Chutzpa, the Japanese speak about having an iron face. In English we might have a few other choice expressions. On the other hand, the photographer could have quoted a decent price that would really compensate her, then provided the images in RAW or even better in DNG.

Steve you don't need my thoughts on that. LOL. Some folks have not a clue. Why would he think he has the right SD card.

The price to prostitute one's self to this stupid request is $75,000.

We all have a price - that is mine. :-)

I just turned down a job in which she wanted me to take family portraits but no prints and just give her the files so a family member who "knows Photoshop" can process them. They would not make prints, just digital files.

I told her she was cheating her family of a history - that 25 years from now there would be nothing and that her kids and grandkids would have no idea what the ancestors looked like. I suggested she find a cheap photographer who was desperate for work.

Well I may be the only one who wonders this: Could "Missy MWAC" be the same one who hung out here on UHH-- and then left in a huff?

The mobile-phone-and-selfie-stick remark in the photographer's response to the client was rude and very condensending. It was simply unnecessary and unprofessional. The client may happen to be very adept at image editing and printing; the photographer doesn't know this.

Poor manners such as this is a quick way to lose potential clients and future assignments. I wouldn't want to do business with a presumptious photographer who responds to a politely-presented inquiry with an insult.

No,

This Missy is Lynn Cartia and she is a real photographer and married to one. She is really funny and has a great Facebook page in which she posts her amusing views of the industry. She is the real deal.

Giving a rude and condensending response to a potential client's inquiry is not being funny. Rather, it indicates poor character and unprofessionalism.

It is obvious that you are not a professional in photography. With a client like this, a professional would soon be selling newspapers or apples on a street corner. And to be honest, most professionals don't do there prints at Walmart's and are very particular how the photo's (PP) are presented and printed after all his name and reputation are on the line..

That prospective client, gave the photographer in question a big slap on the face. Bottom Line.

Just to be clear, it was NOT Missy that gave that response. She was posting the response someone else gave.

Remember, this is comedy.
