Sigma 150-600mm Sport.
The brown UPS truck stopped by yesterday and dropped off my ne Sigma 150-600mm Sport lens. Today I attached it to my cameras one at a time to see if I needed to do any focus fine tuning, I was completely surprised that all the images blown up at 200% showed that no focus fine tuning was needed. I can't wait to take this lens out in the field to see what it can do. So far completely happy with the purchase.

I shoot with a 150-500 sigma on my D-810 and it's amazing, the 600 is probably more amazing.. You will certainly enjoy this lens, gets a little heavy after an hour or so, look forward to your photos.

I would be very interested in your opinion on how it compares to the 80-400G at the high end and beyond.
Thanks in advance for your efforts.
I got it from B&H in NY, Ordered it in March.

Will post more on this thread when I take it out to shoot.
My wife loves hers. Shoots it on D4 and D800E. It is a improvement in sharpness vs her prior Sigma 50-500. We just did a bird shoot (loons, snipes & song birds) in Kamloops, BC, Canada. Her new Sigma 150-600 sport was very competitive with my Nikon 600 f/4 and 80-400G.
Seems like a good lens.

You might want to hit the gym for a few days before you go out on a prolonged excursion with it ....... ;-)
I would love to see how the Sigma compares to my Tamron 150-600.
What is the difference in performance between the contemporary and sport version. What is the extra $900 paying for?
Weather sealing, extra glass (more lens) much heavier because it is ruggedly made. Overall the sports lens is more professionally oriented and the contemporary is consumer oriented. Best check them out at the Sigma web site for a more detailed discussion.

It's also been stated the S is softer on the 150 end and the C is softer at 600 end. But, both are very impressive throughout, regardless. I'm still waiting for the C with Nikon mount.
I have only shot it so far on all my cameras to fine tune autofocus (which by the way did not need it), but I didn't find it soft at 150mm.
