The T-bird in American Graffiti was my favorite. The on with the porthole windows. The remake several years ago was pretty sharp. Here's a good link to T-birds.

  :-D I liked the first one that came out and then the model that came out with the small fins. They never did catch up to the 'vette. :-D

Nothing catches the Vettes. Mustangs might have been a close second some years. I stuck with the Z cars and liked the early Mazda RX's. I had custom work done on my 280 as far as suspension and engine work by a guy that raced them. It was a hell of a car by the time he got finished with it. It might not hang with a Vette flat out but on a tight curvy road I could take it. It's a wonder I'm still alive. It's also a miracle I didn't go to jail one night crossing Brooks Bridge in Ft. Walton Beach neck to neck with a Mustang and a Z on our ass. I was driving a friends Vette and he was riding shotgun since he was too drunk to walk. 100 mph and the blue lights came on. It seems we had company. I ended up with a warning ticket for careless driving. The Mustang driver caught hell for some reason. The Z never slowed down. This was about 3am and I had been seriously over served myself. The good old days.

Sounds like a great car but there isn't enough stats and specs mentioned to even make a comparison on paper yet.. Then there is price. The Ford will probably cost a couple times the highest performance Vette so the bang for the buck will not even be close.

Here are some:

If their performance is anything like their earlier entries into the racing world you can bet that they will have a winner. Price wise. I bet at least$200 grand.

I think you are right on both counts but don't rule out the Vettes from running neck and neck or even ahead on the track.

Yeah, and they were heavy, so they would "hold the road." :D

Even as a kid, I thought it made no sense when adults wanted a heavy car so it would hold the road.
