Scudder's Bush Katydid Nymph

Nikon D600 at ISO 100, w/ Nikkor 60mm 2.8 Micro Lens,
1/250-sec at f/8. Photographed at the Calif Central Coast.
Cropped and processed in Lightroom and Topaz Detail3.

This is a Katydid nymph, most likely a Scudder's Bush Katydid.

Good job Craig. These aren't the easiest subjects to photograph well. Illumination has to be good enough to highlight textures and detail but subdued enough as to not wash out the vivid colors of these critters. Ity's a tough balancing act.

Thank you very much William. You're right he was not interested in being photographed it took 20 shots to get 1 usable shot.
