If so, which one?

I sometimes use a Hoodman Loupe to check focus after the shot-- because I don't like to import OoF shots. My first rule: delete anything OoF unless it's a one-of-a-kind type shot. I rarely use it when shooting. If I did, it would likely be for landscape work.

When I first started yes as I had a hard time focusing with the T2i pentamirror viewfinder. It was a DIY solution, halfway down the page: http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-32754-5.html

Worked well but extended use of live view in the Texas summer would heat up the sensor to the point I'd have to shut the camera off to let it cool down.

I wasted a month of my life trying to come up with a DIY viewer. Then i realized an HDMI cable and 7"tablet jacked into the camera made any of the expensive commercial rigs look and perform like toys.
For setup, focus, preview or chimping, you'll never go back to a naked camera.
(Unless you are one of those true macro nuts who shoot hand held while hanging upside down from snake infested treelimbs of course)

Hey Ron, I resemble that remark.

Sounds like Ron (from recent comments) might think we are crazy. I wonder which one of me he is referring to.

Its just that i am jealous of all you kids who can still get out and track down all those neat subjects.
There is a whole yard full of critters just a few feet from my patio doors begging to have their portraits taken but i'm limited to what happens to crawl across my mouse pad. Wish i had started 10 years sooner.

I use a Hoodman HoodLoupe 3.0, 3x mag loupe to view my camera LCD screen after I take the photo.
I check the camera JPG for proper focus & DoF. Hitting the "+" button allows an high mag view. I can re-shoot if necessary.

You macro folks must have more hands than I do! I know for sure you have more patience!

Both Douglass and I use it after taking the photo, not during the actual taking of the image. It hangs on a lanyard around my neck.

I have one but I never remember that I have one. So yes, but no.
Besides I'm usually hanging upside down somewhere giving my Wife visions of insurance money.
