This is going to be hard! I've just gone thru a bunch of pictures & need to narrow it down to a few to share. Oh...well.....let's just see how it plays out.

A couple of facts.....Oahu is known as "The Gathering Place". It's the 3rd largest of the Hawaii Islands. However it's home to about 2/3rds of the population of the State of Hawaii. (about 976,000)

The Island is 44 miles long & 30 miles across at the widest point. There's 227 miles of shoreline. The average temperature is around 70 to 85 degrees & is the warmest June thru October. Winter temperatures average 68 to 78 degrees. :D

Thank you Bob for taking me back to Oahu. When we went it was with a marching band and we marched in the King Kamehameha Day parade. We stayed somewhere on the opposite side of the island from Waikiki at a college or camp or something of that sort. For a bunch of kids from Denver it was quite an experience to be able to go back and tell your friends about when school started back. These pictures are all just terrific. Like I said before - keep them coming. I never get tired of seeing them.

Thanks Andrea.....more's swimming around my head & requires the selection process to begin so I can post!! But 1st....the garden is requiring some Spring help so guess I'll have to earn my PC time by being productive.....on this my day off!! Your visit to Hawaii certainly was an exciting moment for a kid from Denver! Wonder if we were one of the spectators when you marched thru Waikiki?
