Caught in the act

These tiny flies only allowed me this one image before they split. A lot of difference between the sexes (gender polymorphism). The other image is of the Sphinx moth I captured a few days ago. Went to release it & noticed the eggs it had laid. Then ran across the unknown fly species, except this time in my yard.

Will the moth eggs find an host plant when they hatch?

Grape vines in my yard. Grape is listed as a host plant for this moth. Going to keep an eye on them & harvest Grape leaves when they do hatch or else try to move them to some Muscadine vines.
