I always feel I have a hard time getting good spider photos. Today I found a cooperative spider that with a little coaxing (he was heading away from me but when I tapped my finger ahead of him he agreed to turn around and headed for me) gave me some shots I am proud of.

You are right and this was just such a day with me finding 3-4 great subjects plus having two Monarchs emerge. Thanks,

Thank you so much. I always use a Nikon D7000 with a Nikon 105 f2.8 micro lens, a Nikon SB900 Speedlight and a Fotodiox 6X8 inch diffuser. I also use an L grip adapter. If you check out the UHH macro section there are numerous suggestions and photos that the lead macro guru, Douglass, and others have put together.

Very nice shots Dennis. I've really been enjoying the results I'm getting with my 800. You may want to give yours a try.
