A very nice collection! Did you get a close shot of that pretty red weevil? Are those little stripy bugs in the flowers?

accurate, for sure......I think the bubbles on the flies wings that are under water are interesting..........wings degassing?

I believe that they are methane bubbles coming up from the debris on the bottom & the fly's wings are trapping it. The subject came up last winter when we observed bubbles trapped in the ice & wondered what caused them. They were sometimes in the shape of leaves that were below them.

Wow! What a variety. I like image #2 best. Most likely a Fork-Tailed Scudder's katydid nymph.

I believe images #4, #5, & #6 is a Dusty June beetle (Parathyce palpalis).

thanks on the Dusty......wasn't in either of my books........yup have quite a few of it wandering around the white iris

All are very nice. I believe the first one is a young katydid. I photographed one on my milkweed plants a couple of weeks ago.
