After reading a post from the guy looking for a lightweight 1:1 macro setup for a hike, I used my 40 mm macro lens on a moth. No flash, MFD, pinky on the wall to keep thing steady. It's funny how last year I would have been super excited with the image, but now my finger was hovering over the delete button. :)

Been there, done that! Chunk out of wing IS disappointing but good effort. Proof of seeing species if that's your thing. I save lots like this until I get better specimens.
