To all the Men and Woman in the service and who have served and those who have an interest in military history. These pictures show the evaloution of the Aircraft Carrier from the first one to the present day.
My dad was a pilot during WW11 and later a Navy Test Pilot. He told me the hardest thing about being a pilot was trying to land on an aircraft carrier that looked like a postal stamp bouncing around. Thank you for sharing this information.

Thanks for posting, Hiker.
I will be posting more from the Midway later this week.thanks for looking and the comments.
From July 1972 to July 1974, I berthed on the USS America, CVA-66, assigned to CR Division (Radio Communications). My aircraft carrier spent many months at "Yankee Station", in International Waters just off of Hanoi, Viet Nam, with occasional visits to Subic Bay, Philippines. America was eventually ported in Athens Greece for about 6-months. I experienced port calls in Hong Kong, Norfolk VA, Barcelona Spain, Caen France, Corfu Greece, and Majorca Spain.
