Twin speedlights on two 48-cm long flexible arms, and an LED focusing light on a separate flexible arm.
http://www.venuslens.net/product/macro-twin-flash-kx-800Looks quite useful for short Working Distances associated with 2:1 setting of (Venus Optics) LAOWA 60-mm macro lens and Canon 60-mm macro lens capable of 5:1 magnification.
appears not to have an auxiliary battery pack input.........so much for that one for me, I really like the led idea for focusing at 4/5X with the MP-E 65mm though, maybe the next iteration.....

With the ability to reduce the power, an auxiliary battery pack may not be necessary. I can get 100-200 shots out of my SB R200s-- and with a set of rechargeables in my pocket, I've not yet been without a ready flash. What I like about these is the flexibility to move one of the lights behind the object for back-lighting or to the side to create some texture.

This company seems to be coming out with very innovative products. The Vari extension tube looks very interesting. Thanks for the link.
