..didnt turn out to well. First I dont think my computer is up to the task. Took 10 minutes to process and made running anything else impossible. Second I don't know how good this free program CombineZP is but Ive seen some excellent stacks made with it. Third, and probably most important, I need more practice ... Anyhow I tried... Bob

Thanks! I guess I need more shots than 5 and more experience. A better computer would be helpful too. Bob

Yes, it's not bad for an initial effort. And you are correct: @2:1 you need more than 5 images for overlap on that thin DOF. The long process time is, as you say, likely a slow computer. I've processed 50 raw images in less than a minute on my old (2010) laptop-- and it's no speed demon. I regularly move photo files to three external hard drives., and then take out the trash. I tried Combine ZP-- and it's ok for initial efforts. However, I would encourage you to try Zerene for 30 days. I actually use Helicon, but my reasons are no longer valid (compatibility & raw stacking). Zerene was designed by a macro photographer-- and I'd likely go with it if I was buying today. Anyway, keep them coming.
