Thank you very much. Looking for things to practice on and this reared its pretty little head.
Looks like maybe snow for New Years. Crossing my fingers. ;)

Thanks Bill. I didn't have time to shoot yesterday's morning frost so made a point to get up early today. I hated scraping yesterday because it was so long and graceful.

Thank Douglass. I was hoping to shoot a few more this morning but the wind kept the frost off today. Maybe by this weekend I'll be able to play with snow.

Really fine work Jim. One false breath and you would have had to start over :P And yes it looks like you'll get a White New Years. Good luck.

Well, they are beautiful. So, the first one is a B&W of the one in your Avatar?

Actually my Avatar is a modified version of the original that I posted using an apple app called Crazy Camera that I helped a friend develop. http://crazy.camera
There are a ton of changes you can make to a photo either while taking the shot or in post using this app to modify the original. One of my favorites lets me take a picture that is a black and white sketch that you can vary the amount of line depth as you shoot.
I did a boat load of testing and suggesting to help him get to the final release that is currently available in the app store.

Thanks Craig, Light snow flurries this morning so I guess I need to get up and start playing around.
