Little Male Phidippus mystaceus. The little guy took his first medium size cricket today, would only eat the small ones up till now. A few hours after eating I took him out to try a stack and finally managed two about an hour into the shoot, he just wanted to roam around and climb over all the props. He never once tried to escape but never would sit still either. After the stacks I went back to single shots and came up with this one.. To get him to turn around I tickled him on the butt with a blade of grass and he got a little nasty with me. Guess he don't like other boys touching his backside.. Thought I would share..

This is an amazing, otherworldly looking image, where the Jumping Spider is king. Love the detail and the 'red sun' in the background gives a unique feel. Thank you for sharing! S-

Great photo! I love his throwing his hands up. "OK, get it over with already!" Well, I think that's what he's saying.

Thanks mrova. You may be right, but I think his language was a tad stronger than that.

Excellent shot Martin, Crisp, clean and lovely colors. What is the orange orb in the background? It's funny how we each assign human traits to insects. I see a conductor leading an orchestra or in this case a macro photographer.

Thanks William, Conductor, Yes very easy to see. The orange glow would be christmas lights I was using for background. Hoping to come up with a few Christmas shots to share later in the week.
