The US was able to keep the peace with fear of our wrath and the backing of our allies.
He's dismantled most of our strength and our ability to bite.
Now we don't have the ability to protect our own borders. And because of Obummer and his Merry court, our allies can't trust us for anything except to stir up some laughs.

There isn't anything we should have done. This is a civil war and we do not have a place in it.
That being said, Obama turns the US into a joke when he makes his empty threats of action and reprisal. He is constantly drawing his "line in the sand" and then doing nothing about it. Kerry stands up the day after Obamas threats and says "don't take it personal" and basically admits the US will do nothing. That is the problem. You don't stick you nose into someone else's fight and make threats unless you intend to back it up.
