I am interested also if the price is within reason.

You said it! If you google it, you'll find quite a few very similar devices. I used a Bushhawk years ago. It was okay. All of the products try to address the major shortcoming of using an SLR with a long lens, that is the total weight of camera and lens. The support product adds additional weight. The product had better be simpler, lighter, and easier to use than all of the rest of them. Otherwise it won't sell, other than to those , so frustrated with their existing solutions , that they'll try anything, once!

The hand position looks kinda awkward to me.
Have you considered a second pistol grip for the other hand, below the frame, with a remote trigger on it. Like holding and shooting a rifle. That would also make it usable by left-handers.

My thoughts exactly. Esspecially the trigger issue.

Very interesting concept. I personally like the idea of the design having the right hand at the camera controls. One thing I would like to see is the ability to move the camera/lens mount front-to-back without having to readjust the shoulder stock and hand grip. This would make it easier to switch between using the view finder and the live view display without completely reconfiguring the frame. Hope this works well for you as you move forward.

I would be interested in your camera accessory. Maybe a quick attachment for camera. Go for it.

I like the idea that it can be shortened to fit in a camera bag. From the photos, it would not be much longer than a long lens.Keep the weight down for the same reason. Aluminum tubing is not flimsy. I would be interested in one if the price is OK.

That looks great. I like the all metal and 2 screws to clamp the extension tube. Someone suggested extending the shoulder rest so it would rest on the shoulder which could be a help in supporting the weight. I would offer another thought, consider moving the outer grip in so the arm could be tucked in rather than extended so the arm could rest against the body and changing the grip from a pistol grip to the knob grip found in some competition target rifles. Make it in aluminum and have them made with some good quality MIG welding and I think you have a natural, and it would be a Made in America all metal. Best of luck. and do protect your design.

The grip doesn't extend out that far and is offset for two
reasons. # 1 I tried one straight at the end with my rig it
and pulled my arm to far underneath. # 2 I have a hole
at the end for a Mono-pod support. I have tried different
grips and this one feels great and keeps cost down. It is
made from aluminum and is welded and hopefully will be
made in the USA. Thanks for you interest. mdh

I guess that is why some of us keep trying to do better.
Don't think I have put a gun to anyone's head to purchase this.
I just wanted some input from the folks here on the forum and I thank you for yours. mdh

Thank you and yes you can add a quick connect the hole
is already drilled. If I put it on it adds about thirty dollars
for a good one and I had rather keep the cost down and
let the buyer add it if wanted. Also the lens mounting knob will screw right into the bottom of any camera that has 1/4 inch 20 thread hole. From what I see most are that way. Thanks for your interest. mdh

Thank you for your interest, but mine is not near as
restraining and cost lots less. I find mine to be easy
for overhead shots of birds or animals moving or just at
the top of a tree. But that is why there are more than one
idea, I just wanted to share mine. mdh
