ebrunner, you had me going there as whether or not MY eyes had lost their capability for level detection. I was especially doubtful after the OP said the hills run higher on the right. So, I downloaded the photo, opened it in CS6, and ran a leveling process (complicated somewhat by the fact we had a sway-backed bunkhouse, but I used both ends for my test). Sure enough, it skewed the layer to make it straight, although truthfully, only a degree or two.

Trust your eyes? Yeah, why not? I trust mine.

Ok, so it was off, but not by all that much. I feel better now.

Thanks for the comment, Bob. Actually, I looked at that horizon for quite a long time. I even straightened it, and then went back to the original. I believe it does seem a bit off-level, but that may be due to the hilly fields in the background, particularly on the right side of the photo. I know it's not so noticeable in the shot (the hills, I mean, as the hills do not get too big in Southern Saskatchewan).
But again, thank you for your comment.

On the hills, run-down bunkhouse, etc, I think it looks correct, wouldn't change the horizon at all.

The horizon doesn't bother me. I know I know it's not technically correct but the pictures is great. The roof shingles weathered different there are I believe only two panes of glass on this side of the building. The siding is weathered but not so much under the eaves. and the light tan weeds offset the buildings grays wonderfully.

At least that is what the lady told me. She said her grandfather used to have a cattle ranch spread across this whole section of land back in the 1920s. The family let it turn to dust 40 years ago.

Thanks for the nice comment, dragonswing. I have a hard time passing by an old building without taking a picture of it.

Original needed NO correction, and it is AGAINST the FORUM RULES to do anything to the OP's pictures and repost UNLESS THEY ASK FOR IT!!!!
