The only thing the Heritage Foundation "conceived" was the concept of the individual mandate. That is just one facet of the law. It doesn't matter who conceived it. It is still a bad law.

The law itself was put together based on meetings between Ezekiel Rahm and Obama. According to Ezekiel Rahm one of the goals was to make the individual health insurance market go away.

The fact is these are amateurs playing with a product they do not understand. I sold health insurance from 1978 to 1995. The vast majority of the people who did not have health insurance, the people this law is supposed to help, did not want it. There were a small number of clients I encountered that had pre-existing conditions that made getting coverage expensive but many of them also decided to depend on the charity of others rather than pay for a policy. Obamacare is flawed and unworkable from the very start.

Regarding inflation: I taught in a Economic AP High School course (My word is TALF: Temp Assigned Learning Facilitator, Sub!) and commented that I made $2.50 an hour after graduating from College!! Amazed them, "you what"??? Then I said this time of year a new Chevie cost $2500 and $5 bought a large sack of groceries, and life was good. Then in industry, 1964, I made $9000 and bought a new Mustang Convertible for $3200!! We worked 32 hrs a week but with long lunch and breaks actually worked 24!! Required to travel business class... those were good days. "What happened"... Money hungry accountants looking at Top-Down rather than creative employees. I went on to Firestone R&D before Celanese let 5000 go. This was unheard of at that time and was written up in Chem Eng News... the start of "down sizing" OUCH!!

I explained that there were no Purple Pills, Blue Pills and we were healthy. One girl said her dog was a hypochondriac that her grand mother said that dogs lived well and only went to the vet to be "put to sleep" (not good to tell small kids) or to be for sewing up if in a fight. Her grandmother also said that kids were the same.
