Wabbit....speed up that animation and it could certainly be a unique demonstration of the theory of relativity.

Hi all
This is getting more frustrating by the week - it is a Samsung NX10 and the image in the viewfinder IS "upside down"
Have and AM still searching internet and other Samsung forums but no success yet.
Even phoned Samsung 1-800 # in Canada but did not get anywhere - but will try there again
Has anyone any ideas or solutions for this
Cheers for years
Colin
Stand on your head to photograph!
Sorry, Wabbit, didn't see your response, too fast. There sure are a lot of "Flats for Rent" where you are!

Good luck!
APS-C sensor?
Another one to consider. (I'm in the market)

I'm an Aussie and mine works just fine.... but it sucked when I took it to the US last year. ;)

That's because you were feeding it Northern Hemisphere electricity which runs backwards to what your camera expects. Just turn the charger plug over in the BOTTOM socket.
What does kolarivision say about the situation?

Hi all
Firmware was updated after I got it converted to Full Spectrum IR - when I noticed image was upside down
And can HONESTLY say I never really noticed if it came "Right Side" up
Body Firmware is 1.32
Lens Firmware is 1.10
Which I believe is the most recent

I won't be ditching the DSLR's, they'll just stay at work.
The view from here to the ocean is a wee bit too far.
Hey GoofyNewfie, I will 2nd that for an SX50. Picked one up as a spare for my D7000 about 2 weeks ago and thats all I have been playing with. It is so light weight and quite a camera for birding and wild life.
Sounds like that Samsung camera may have been a blonde camera. No offense to blondes, my wife and daughter are blonde and I love them.
Have you looked at other examples at a dealer to see if they do the same thing?

Take a look at Olympus PEN E-PL5 with 14-42mm (28-84mm equivalent) kit lens. It's a 4/3 sensor but all reviews say it will match or beat crop sensors and from my experience so far I'd believe it. There are also excellent optical quality wide angle, telephoto, and macro converters that bayonet click onto the front of the lens instead of buying a raft of additional lenses.
Read about the history of the micro-4/3 consortium of manufacturers, the lens technology involved, the reason for choosing 4/3 format, how they maximize image quality, etc. before dismissing it. Panasonic and Olympus are the biggest players in the mirrorless 4/3 market (actually they created the 4/3 format together) and the lenses are compatible between all micro-4/3 brands and third parties like Sigma.
The E-PL5 is tiny, has touch screen control, is awesome for 3, 5, and 7 frame auto bracketing for HDR, and would fit in a coat pocket (I don't wear coats in SW Florida so I can't attest to that). It's all metal and built like a German tank. A lot of advantages, does everything a dSLR does with equivalent IQ, and it's $599. Olympus has sales at their Olympus site store with $50 off from time to time.
I've had mine two weeks and I'm sold on it completely. I may even sell my dSLR eventually and get another one or the next E-PL6 when it comes out.
Just sayin'... take a look at the Olympus site.

Even Samsung Service centers here in Canada are 1500 Miles away in Vancouver

Ah, don't exaggerate, Colin - it's only 1200 miles - return ;-)
If you can wait, I can pick it up when we go to Edmonton next summer, then return it to you the summer after...
If we take hwy 3, we should be passing close by your place.
All kidding aside, there is a Samsung Service Centre in Richmond and I'm sure Canada Post or UPS will stop in Sparwood.

Priceless.
Thank you Esther
Realize there was a service center in Richmond - that was where I phone
Guess I was a little over the top with the mileage hu???
Reluctant to send it - read one report on another forum where just to open a Samsung up was $190.00
So just playing this by ear right
Yet think maybe the latest Firmware update 1.32 - eliminated the accessing of the Developers Menu to put back to factory Specs as there were hacks out there to give the NX10 the ability of Wifi like the NX11
