I have also been having problems with Internet Exporer 8 and used to get the bouncing screen. I'd get into UHH and then my screen would change back to my Yahoo email page and then back to UHH. Would make me dizzy. My computer guy said that AVG and some others now have bloatware and can really mess up a computer. He deleted mine and put in the free download of Cloud and so far is ok. At least no more bouncing screen pages but IE is real screwed up and I heard that the 9 version is worse so have not upgraded. He set my desktop so all pop-ups are blocked but that can cause a problem when you WANT to get into a website. YOU CAN'T WIN!

Be weary of Yahoo, had it on one of my computers and was having all kinds of problems. Thought I was running just yahoo mail but found 8 other programs tagged back to Yahoo. Got rid of it and no more problems.

Malwarebytes found 15 items and deleted them. Superantispyware found 254 more. I deleted cookies and restarted - no change in computer behavior.

I'd like to know why all those beautiful, sexy, lonely women waited until I'm 75 years old to finally contact me! I must get a dozen e-mails every week from them!

My uneducated guess is that you already have some script running, or a cookie accessing something. I'd clear out history and all cookies, then run all your virus, anti spyware programs to try to clean it up.

My wife was getting those for a while, she never even clicked anything, and eventually nothing worked. Had to take it in and get it cleaned. Cost almost as much as a new laptop.

Suggest you get a copy of Crap Cleaner and JV 16 Power Tools.

I came across your forum while search for this same problem that showed up today. I've run every scan I know to run and even did a system restore to an earlier date. Nothing has worked. Here is what I've run: Spybot, CCleaner, Malware Bytes, AVG, Spyware Blaster, Advanced System Care. I'm at a complete loss and sick to my stomach. I'm so careful where I go online and have not had anything like this happen until today. I also use Firefox religiously, I HATE IE. Is there anything I've missed that you all might help me with. I'm desperate at this point and know I won't sleep until I get this resolves. Thanks so much (in advance). ~Julie

PurpleJAF,
After having a long discussion with AVG programmers, they compiled a partial list of malicious programs that need to be removed from your system to eliminate your problem. Please read carefully and comply with their suggestions. If you have further problems, the AVG staff will gladly assist you further in disinfecting your machine.
I hope you have the subscription version of AVG Antivirus, but if you don't, I think they will assist you anyway. I've been a faithful subscriber for many years.
REMEMBER that you can not have 2 different Antivirus programs on a single computer or it slows your machine down and can lead to serious conflicts in Virus database and protection. Even the JAVA updates having McAfee programs embedded in them can cause problems and conflicts. It is recommended to only use JAVA when needed and to not install this as a permanent program addition since McAfee is not compatible with AVG Antivirus. When doing any web search, it is recommended to use the AVG or Firefox search engine and not go directly to websites using INTERNET EXPLORER.
I also asked about the OMNITEC support being offered through Micro$oft when applications and programs do not seem to install or run properly. It was suggested that anyone getting scammed by this organization should call MICROSOFT directly and report they were scammed by this organization when attempting to download or install any MICROSOFT program. There seems to be some Microsoft operators who redirect customers to the OMNITEC support when it is not really necessary. If you are caught in this scam, contact Microsoft directly.

Thank you for your call.

Rogue security software is "scareware," provides limited or no security and user should not definitely pay for it. Once installed, the rogue security software may then attempt to entice the user into purchasing a service or additional software by:

1. Alerting the user with the fake or simulated detection of malware or pornography.
2. Altering system registries and security settings, then "alerting" the user.
3. Selectively disabling parts of the system to prevent the user from uninstalling the malware.
4. Some may also prevent anti-malware programs from running, disable automatic system software updates.
5. Block access to websites of anti-malware vendors.
6. Installing actual malware onto the computer, then alerting the user after "detecting" them.

Here are the list of some Rogue and Fake Anti Virus:

XP Security 2012
Antivirus 2011 Edition Limitee
AVSecuritySuite
Cloud AV2012
eAntivirus Pro
Malwaredoctor
Security Defender
Security Shield
Super AV
Windows Antivirus 2012
Windows Security
Windows Stability Guard
Antivirus 2011
Malware Bites

Thank you for contacting AVG Technical Support.

AVG Tech support's phone number for US customers is:
1-877-648-3134 and 3135
Refer to case #7497580 to allow this to be added to the present info of this particular problem.
WELCOME TO UHH where we make every effort to assist our friends.
