New Editing Software
I have tried recent versions of DXO, Luminar and Affinity and don't find them to be at all intuitive. As a matter of fact I sat there stating at the DXO screen for 5 minutes trying to figure out how to load a photo to edit and it was downhill from there.
I don't enjoy post processing and would rather be taking pictures than learning new from scratch, complicated, editing software. So for now I will keep on using Bridge, Camera Raw, PS, (and OnOne) and pay the fees. My fees haven't risen more than 2.00 a month (if that) over the past 5 years. There is no guarantee that the aforementioned companies will still be around 5 years from now anyway and if they are, who knows what their fees will end up being. Or they could decide that the lease option is the way to go too.
And there is always PS Elements (with video editing) as a stand alone to purchase.
Anyone else feel the same?

Some Golden Oldies from my trusty D200....10Mpix
Back in the day, my D200 was considered a workhorse. At only 10Mpix, it has treated me well. Thought you might enjoy a few of my older shots. Download is best.

What am I seeing?
What the heck, just processed some Longhorn photos from this summer and noticed this one.
Look at the feet. It looks like horns of another Longhorn that this one is standing on. I can
only assume there is a hole or ditch behind that the other is in? It does not look like there are
any holes or hills behind the main Longhorn! What does it look like to you?
A really White House
would you come out and greet our delegation from Transylvania?
Older flash how to
I have a older flash and need instructions how to read settings. How to set camera and such. Something like beginner on reading and setting a flash that is not auto camera flashes. Thanks and have a great day. Maybe something on ebay for beginners
I just finished some editing on one of my favorite shots taken during a smoke and haze trip to Yosemite last month .., it was just 15 minutes into Glacier Point on the 10 mile Mist Trail hike ..., the am sun was starting to highlight everything .., viewing it on a Retina screen MacBook Pro or .., brings out the best of this shot ...download of course .. Lightroom 5 Information
I have been working with Lightroom 5 for a while mostly with raw files. I understand the software pretty good but would like to learn more. The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom classroom in a book is hard to find. My question is would Adobe Press Book: Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC / Lightroom 6 Classroom in a Book (2015) help me with lightroom 5.5. Or should I upgrade the lightroom software. I do not want to pay a monthly fee.
Thanks in advance.
Nikon D5300 with either DX lens - "shutter lag"
Hi all, Shooting my D5300 with either DX lens, sometimes I experience a long pause from the time I trip the shutter until I can shoot the next shot. It is not slow shutter speed. I have tested this. So during this pause, the shutter has already completed its action. This occurs with JPEG + RAW, but not consistently so I don't think it's file size. Any ideas from you all would be appreciated.
