The only time I've had an opportunity to photograph dragonfly & it's shadow. Poor conditions. But, ya gotta take what's there. Water was riled due to my Lab.

I have periodically passed this place over the years, thinking I should get a picture of it.
It has no historical significance. Just a cluttered second hand shop. I often think of it as "prior to the Big Box stores".

Taken with Nikon D 7100 & Tokina 12-24mm lens.

I had an opportunity to attend a UKC Retriever Hunt Test Saturday. I observed a breed I had never seen before...Pudelpointer. a German breed (cross between a Poodle & a Pointer) He did excellent work, altho he has a face only a mother could love.
Taken with Nikon D7100,70-300mm, f/8

I took this originally as a more open scene, as I thought it would tell a complete story..wrong. The actual story was Falco (dog). Open water was removed.
Nikon D7100

No it is not a good trade off. I have both and they are used for entirely different applications. Why would you want to give up a good walk around lens for a wide angle?
