I'm going to the San Juan Islands next week so, I'm glad you're asking this question. Heading out to the Lime Kiln Lighthouse which is supposed to be one of the best places to view the orca. I'll let you know how it goes when I return!

I have a Nikon D7500 and I want to take one lens on this cruise. I’m thinking Nikon 18-300mm or Tamron 18-400. Has anyone used either of these on an Alaskan Cruise. Either one should work, I’m just thinking Nikon with Nikon Lens?? Thoughts?

Me too!! I have a Canon though but, it's good to know the lens length I should go with for my camera! I don't want to be caught changing a lens when the wildlife decides to show itself!

Which ship? I'll be with a party of 5 on the NCL Bliss leaving on 6/16. Can't wait!

I looked it up from the link above (thanks for that!) "Parents and children are invited to watch more than 15,000 marshmallows drop out of a helicopter. After the drop, children ages 3 and older can collect the marshmallows and turn them in for a prize-filled egg." I get the concept of marshmallows being softer than plastic eggs but, how do you stop a 2 year old from actually eating one?? Yuck! Can you say temper tantrum? :P
